A 14-year-old boy was killed Monday evening after crashing a motorized electric bicycle while riding down a steep staircase at Seattle’s Colonnade Park, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Videos posted on social media show the aircraft banking to one side as it flies low over the water near some boats close to shore. The plane makes a hard landing, first on one float, then briefly skips into the air before hitting the rocky coast.

Seattle firefighters responded to two fires Sunday morning; no injuries were reported. In an unrelated incident, a crash blocked I-90 near the Mount Baker Tunnel.
