A Winter Storm Warning is in effect in the Chicago area until Sunday morning. The snowstorm was expected to bring up to 8 inches or more in some areas. Over 1,000 flights have been canceled Saturday at Chicago airports.

Harris County residents encountered a terrifying situation when a radar-confirmed tornado whipped through the area on Monday. A resident’s childhood home in Cypress, Texas was one of many to get hit.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for southeast Texas and parts of Louisiana until 7 PM, with a tornado warning earlier for Harris, Montgomery and Waller counties as severe storms moved through the Houston area.

A tornado warning is in effect until 3 a.m. for Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties. A possible tornado was spotted on radar around 2 a.m. near Edwards. Watch live in the video player above. A tornado watch is also in effect for the metro area until 6 a.m.
