On this day in 1973, the Supreme Court issued its landmark Roe v. Wade decision, recognizing abortion as a constitutional right under privacy. In 2022, that precedent was overturned, leaving abortion access to state laws resulting in thousands of people no longer being able to make decisions over their own bodies.
