The Cast Cow Here is a very, very lucky cow. Normally we feed in the morning and then don't go back out to see them again until the next morning. But today was a super nice day, so I went out to take some photos, and I found this cow cast. This is something that usually happens close to calving, so a little unusual 6 weeks out from calving and with a younger cow, this girl is 5 years old. Basically what happens, is that a fat, round cow lays down, most likely decides to stretch out on her side,
